KPA Men's basketball punish Djabal Club of Comoros Islands

The KPA Men's basketball team last evening walloped Djabal Club of Comoros Islands 120:37 to register a good start in the on-going Africa Champions Clubs ROAD TO B.A.L 2023 at the state of the art Pales des sports Mahamasina, Antananarivo in Madagascar.
The dockers started the game on a high note leading 27-10 in quarter one and never to look back . The second quarter saw the Comoros swimming in unfamiliar waters as the dockers went on the rampage demolishing them 50:20 by the breather.
Come the end of third quarter, KPA had made 39 additional points ,conceded seven points to close at 89:27. KPA intensified defense to deny their opponents a chance to recover and close the growing margin . The motivated Porters made 13 additional points into the fourth quarter compared to three points by Djabal to settle at 102:30 , sending signal of carrying the match. The onslaught continued as KPA stamped their authority to record a powerful finish of 18 additional points compared to seven by the opponent to end the game with 102:37 score-line.
KPA's Antony Kitongo was named the Most Valuable Player of the game having recorded 19 points, 12 rebounds and an individual player efficiency (EFF) of 28. The highest scorer was Ariel Okal with 24 points followed by Wade Loman with 23 points. Djabal's Abdou Omar Mchangama emerged the highest scorer with 14 ponts.
The Dockers are scheduled to play their second and final game today against the hosts COSPN of Madagascar at the same venue at 1700Hrs. COSPN, a Madagascar national police team on Friday whitewashed Djabal 110:38 before their fans who had thronged the gymnasium. The match between KPA and Cospn is expected to be explosive and crowd pulling as the two teams will be fighting to finish tops in the qualifier game and ascend to the next stage .
