Governor Andrew Mwadime together with  MultiChoice Kenya Managing Director, Ms Nancy Matimu have commisoned GOtv new transmission mast in Voi. 

Governor Mwadime reiterated that his administration will continue strengthening partnership for socio-economic empowerment of the county citizens. 

"Expanding MultiChoice GOtv network in the region means an increased dealer network that translates to creation of more jobs in decoder and hardware installation business" Said Governor Mwadime.

He further requested for collaboration with the company for an enabling environment for authentic content creation and talent development through their established state-of-the-art technology. 

"The new transmission site will enhance digital signal quality hence improving access to news and entertainment, this means that many people will have access to more affordable channels and packages" Ms Matimu. 

Director Matimu noted that the company will collaborate with the County Government to provide a platform for upskilling young people and exploiting untapped power and potential of the area youth.

MultiChoice through Multichoice Talent Factory (MTF) has previously trained many youth who end up working with Africa's major productions and companies as camera operators, film directors, producers, editors and sound technicians, among other well-paying jobs in Africa. 

The Governor was accompanied by his Deputy Hon. Christine Kilalo and CECM Youth, Sports, Gender, Culture and Social Services Shedrack Mutungi.
